On Monday evening, Simon received the Carl Zeiss Award for Young Researchers, which is awarded to outstanding up-coming scientists in optics and photonics by the Ernst Abbe Fund every two years. The ceremony took place at the Deutsches Museum in Munich – a very special location.
His wife Katrin and Simon enjoyed a great evening with lively discussions with the other award winner Dr. Arindam Ghosh, the winner of the ZEISS Research Award Prof. Dr. Immanuel Bloch, and all the guests from business and science.
